Fairchild-Day House

This impressive Craftsman style house in Woodland, Calif., was created in 1913 by Berkeley designer Olin S. Grove for Dr. Chester Fairfield. Grove was influenced by Gustav Stickley’s prototype design published in a 1909 issue of Craftsman magazine.

The current owners of the home are two sisters, whose father was the Yolo County Sheriff. The house received the city’s Heritage Home award in 1992.
