Frank Peabody House

For some reason, we felt super drawn to this cool house in Lexington, Mass.

Frank Peabody, a secretary of Pierce and Winn Coal and Wood Company, build this house for himself in 1895. When we looked up the details on the MACRIS database and it described the interior details (as of 1984), which sound just as fabulous as the outside.

Gumwood paneling had been restored by the owners at that time, and each bedroom boasts a window seat. There’s at least one tile hearth and fireplace as well.

According to the town assessor database, it has six bedrooms, two bathrooms and 2800 square feet. It last sold in 2009 for $671,000 and is now assessed at $1.05 million.
