Built in 1896, this sprawling Italian Renaissance villa originally belonged to Howard Havens, manager of the Donahue Kelly Banking Company in San Francisco. It was sold in 1902 to Major Charles L. Tilden, and has since been referred to as the Tilden Mansion

Its architect was Edward Denke, and it was built by A.R. Denke for $8,180.
