Brehaut House

This incredible 1893 Queen Anne is said to be the Grand Dame of Alameda, Calif., and widely considered its most photographed house.

Designed by Charles S. Shaner, its original owner was its builder, David Brehaut. It cost $4,000 to build… for perspective, it sold two years ago for a whopping $2.5 million.

With 2,800+ square feet, it has four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a full unfinished basement. Many original interior details are still present, according to the real estate listing.

The sun was in a terrible place to capture Snickers, too, so we returned later. But there were a bunch of kids playing the rest of the day and we don’t post photos of random kids, so… this is the photo we’re left with. But scroll the carousel for some others that turned out.
