The sign on the outside of this house in Newburyport, Mass., introduces it as the Daniel Lunt house, built in 1665 (!!).

Lunt pledged his allegiance to the amazing coastal town of Newbury, Mass. in 1678. He married twice and raised nine children, and amassed quite a bit of money, which he left to his wife and heirs.
He captained a trade ship, dealt malt and iron and owned land on Plum Island.
