Stewart House

My gingery goodness is on full display in front of this darling house in Sutter Creek, California. Likely built around 1858, it is thought to be the oldest house on Spanish Street.

Built by either O.M. Hocking or Harrison Wood, the house was later owned by S.D.R. Stewart, whose brother was a U.S. Senator from Nevada.
