Before Clement Hartley and his family lived in the beautiful house we featured yesterday, this was his starter home.

The 1893 Vacaville, California home still has a hitching post out front.

Hartley was the director of Hartley Orchard Co., which later merged with Vacaville Fruit Co. He also managed the bank of Vacaville from 1917-1929.
