Built in 1855 in Lexington, Mass., this was the home to stained glass designer Minnie E. Seaver for many years. Seaver, who worked in a Boston studio, was an early cheerleader for the formation of the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society.

She made several large donations to the organization, and was also a benefactor to several young women, making it possible for them to further their college education. And she didn’t do it for the kudos — she often made anonymous contributions.
