Twinsies for Tuesday! Built around 1896, these two almost-twin houses right next door to each other (swipe to see the other), were built as “apartments,” according to an 1896 article in the Lexington Minute-man.
According to the research on the MACRIS entry form, this had been the only reference to apartments in Lexington during the late 19th century. There could have been multiple units in these buildings. However, no researchers were ever able to turn up any information about Mr. Slootmaker.
