William Fish Glenn House

Carpenter William Fish Glenn built himself this house in Lexington, Mass., in 1888.

The house was passed down through the family for years, with his grandson eventually inheriting it. A meat dealer, he used the small building in the rear as a slaughterhouse, which I’m sure was popular with the neighbors.

Located on historic Forest street close to town center, the house remained in the same family until 1993.

The property has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and 2,749 square feet. It last sold in 2001 for $765,000.
