Built in 1843, this Greek revival building in Bedford, Mass., was home to members of the extensive Hartwell family.

The family name is commemorated in both Hartwell Avenue in Lexington and Hartwell Road in Bedford. We are guessing they were also somehow related to the Hartwells who lived in one of our favorite nearby places (and one of our very early posts): the Hartwell Tavern.

The majority of the building is now occupied by Suzanne & Company Real Estate. Whether it’s Halloween or Christmas, this place is always decked out to the nines.

Right now, there are wreaths on every window, and it looks even more festive when it’s all lit up at night. 🎄
