Parker House

Master builder Kenelum Baker built this elaborate house in Winchester, Mass., in the 1850s.

With elaborate Italinate styling, the Tuscan villa has an awesome porch that wraps around most of the house. The square cupola is a beautiful topper for this house that landed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The red velvet couch on the porch is a sweet detail.

It is believed the first owner, L. Baker, was related to the builder, lived there from 1854-1864. A businessman lived there next, followed by a doctor, who used the first floor as his medical offices.

The Parker family began living there in 1919.

The house has five bedrooms, two bathrooms and last sold in 1998 for $660,000 in 2008. It is now valued at $1.1 million.
