Let’s be honest: 2020 has been quite a dumpster fire, hasn’t it? But the good news for me — Snickers, the family dog — is that everyone has been home a whole lot more.

While I already got a ton of walks around my ‘hood, my mom and I have been doing a lot of special walking trips lately because, pandemic. We’ve been seeing and learning so many cool historical things around New England, we thought we’d share them with you. Education plus dogs: What’s not to love?

On this page, we’ll share snippets of information about each site we visit. My mom is a longtime print journalist, so she loves to research things. And now she works as an educator in first grade, so she likes to teach things, too. I just pose in neat places because I love her and she dispenses treats.

My eventual goal is to take photos without my leash because it’s distracting. But I also like to chase critters, sooooo…. it’s a work in progress.
