Schoen-Meikle-Ulrich House

We are absolutely in love with the steep pitched gable on this Tudor Revival cottage in Woodland, California.

Built in 1934 by Joseph Motroni for Fred Schoen, who owned the town’s Corner Drug Store 1926-1934. It later became the first Walgreens system store in California in 1935.

In 1947, the home was purchased by Monta and William L. Meikle, who was a longtime supervisor for the Spreckles Sugar Company.

The house received the city’s Heritage Home award in 2002.
