Roger Croft House

Built in 1913, the Roger Croft House was erected on a lot that previously housed one of the most pretentious mansions in Acton, Mass.

The previous home, which burned down in 1912, had been built in 1812 by Dr. Peter Goodknow, but was best known as the mansion of the Honorable Stephens Hayward.

The bungalow is a contributing property of the Acton Centre Historic District, and is important for is architecture, which is demonstrative of the tastes of that time period.
