For the first time in 40 years, the gorgeous Eckhardt House in Sacramento, Calif., was recently on the market. Here’s the catch: it was converted into a three-story office building in 1980, so it’s not a residence.
Built in 1896, the property is in the heart of the awesome Midtown neighborhood, boasting 4900 square feet.

As much as we’d love to turn Walkies Through History into a business somehow (maybe a children’s book?), we wouldn’t need three stories of office space and definitely can’t afford the $2.1 million dollar price tag.
So, we’ll just stick to our living room couch workspace and dream on.
