This Second Empire house was built in 1872 for Asa M. Cook, an American Civil War veteran who commuted to Boston for his job at the Custom House.
He worked as there as superintendent of warehouses after making money in the trucking industry in Boston.

With five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, it is currently valued at $1.185 million dollars. It last sold in 2005 for $1.125 million dollars.
The elaborately detailed house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
